Visas to Turkey for citizens of Tajikistan
For citizens of Tajikistan, a visa to Turkey is required. Previously, until April 2024, a visa-free regime was in place, allowing stays in Turkey for up to 90 days within 180 days. However, by decree of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan dated April 5, 2024, this regime was canceled, and now citizens of Tajikistan must obtain a visa in advance to enter the country. The reasons for this decision have not been officially specified, but it is assumed to be related to security issues.

How to apply for a visa?
Citizens of Tajikistan can apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa) through the service wizalive.in.ua for tourism or short-term trips.

Steps to apply for an e-Visa:
Visit the website: Go to wizalive.in.ua.
Fill out the application: Specify citizenship (Tajikistan), visa type, travel dates, and personal information.

    Required documents:
International passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
Email address to receive the visa.
Bank card to pay the visa fee (approximately $20–$60 depending on the visa type).

Pay the fee: Payment is made online.
Receive the visa: After approval (usually within 24–48 hours), you will receive a PDF file with the visa, which must be printed and presented at the border.

If a visa through the consulate is required:

Visas to Turkey for citizens of Ukraine
For citizens of Ukraine, a visa to Turkey is not required for tourist trips up to 90 days within 180 days if holding a biometric international passport or ID card (since 2020).

    Entry conditions for Ukrainians:
Passport: Biometric international passport or ID card valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
Duration of stay: Up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
Purpose of visit: Tourism, visiting relatives, short-term business visits.

    Long-term stay:
For work, study, or stays longer than 90 days, contact the Embassy of Turkey in Ukraine via wizalive.in.ua with an invitation and additional documents.

Useful tips for citizens of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine:
Timing: Citizens of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan should apply for an e-Visa 7–10 days before the trip via wizalive.in.ua. Ukrainians with biometric passports or ID cards do not need preparation.
Check conditions: Entry requirements may change; verify current information at wizalive.in.ua.
Transit: If you are flying through Turkey in transit and do not leave the airport transit zone, a visa may not be required—check with the airline.

For citizens of Ukraine, visas to Turkey are not required for tourist or short-term trips. Thanks to the visa-free regime that has been in effect between Ukraine and Turkey since 2017, Ukrainians can stay in Turkey for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa if they have a biometric international passport. Since 2020, entry with an internal passport in the form of an ID card is also allowed (only for air travel).

    Entry conditions for Ukrainians:
Passport: Biometric international passport or ID card valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
Duration of stay: Up to 90 days within 180 days.
Purpose of visit: Tourism, visiting relatives, short-term business visits.

    Exceptions:
If you plan to stay in Turkey for more than 90 days or are traveling for work, study, or other long-term stays, you will need the appropriate visa. In this case, contact the Embassy of Turkey in Ukraine via wizalive.in.ua with the necessary documents (invitation, contract, etc.).

Thus, for most tourist trips, Ukrainians do not need a visa — just take your biometric passport or ID card and go on a trip! You can always check details on wizalive.in.ua.
