The visa is issued for 1 year with the right to stay abroad for 1 year.
Type D06 visa can be obtained after using biometric visa, as well as Czech visas or other types of Polish visas, such as (D05A; D05B; C05), and so on.
Work visa C05 (Schengen) grants the right to legally work in Poland for 3 months within six months.
Work visa D05A (Polish national) grants the right to legally work in Poland for 6 months within a year for all types of work except seasonal.
Work visa D05B (Polish national) grants the right to legally work in Poland for 9 months within a year, but only for jobs recognized as seasonal by Polish law.
Work visa D06 (Polish national) grants the right to legally work in Poland for more than 6 months within a year for all types of work except seasonal.
Previously (until 2018), there were only two types of national work visas to Poland — D05 and D06, which granted the right to work in Poland for 6 months per year. However, due to new employment rules for foreigners in Poland implemented from January 1, 2018, a new visa type appeared — D05A.
Now, for a worker to legally work in Poland, they must obtain a Work Permit or Seasonal Work Permit:
The Work Permit is issued for work in all sectors except seasonal work and grants the right to work in Poland for 6 months per year. The Seasonal Work Permit is issued for work in sectors classified as seasonal and grants the right to work in Poland for 9 months per year.
Based on the Work Permit, a national visa D05A (for 6 months) is issued, and based on the Seasonal Work Permit, a national visa type D05B (for 9 months) is issued.
➤ The work visa to Poland is issued only at the Visa Center or the Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine, in the city according to the applicant’s registration. The processing time for work visa documents to Poland is about 7 working days.
