Registration for a trip to Europe
Starting from October 2025, Ukrainian citizens with biometric passports who plan to travel to European countries (Schengen area and some others) will be required to complete prior electronic authorization through the ETIAS system. This step will become mandatory for those traveling without a visa.What is ETIAS?
ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) is a new initiative by the European Union aimed at controlling and monitoring travelers from countries with visa-free access to the EU. Ukraine has been part of this list since 2017. The system requires travelers to complete a quick online screening before entering most European countries (excluding the United Kingdom and Ireland) by filling out a special form. Once approved, travel will be permitted.Registration: how does it work?
The registration process is as follows: you must complete an online form by providing your personal and passport details, travel plans, and answers to several standard security questions. You have 20 minutes to complete everything. While the process is not very complicated, it must be finished on time — otherwise, the system will close automatically and you’ll have to start over.ETIAS Application Cost
